As foreign minister, Julie Bishop increasingly outsourced foreign aid projects to private contractors.
Now she has joined the board of one of the largest of them, Palladium.
Labor says her appointment is another breach of ministerial standards, after former defence minister Christopher Pyne was similarly accused.
But Ms Bishop says she is compliant with the Statement of Ministerial Standards.
