So why vote for Aid/Watch’s Alternatives to ‘Green’ Extractivism proposal
Because we are one of the only NGOs tackling the issue of ‘green’ extractivism by mapping Australia’s ‘green’ extractivist development footprint both domestically and internationally.
Aid/Watch has always advocated for the end of fossil fuels. We are pro-renewables. However, we strongly advocate that justice and solidarity are central to a just transition.
We understand that we cannot mine our way out of the climate crisis like the ‘green’ growth agenda is pushing for.
We are demanding that all supply chains towards a just transition are clean, just, and fair.
So vote for Aid/Watch in CoPower’s democratic budget
